A single bulb swings overhead. Shadows stretch long.
The table’s cluttered with scripts, camera batteries, and half-empty mugs.
One chair sits in shadow.
A CLAPBOARD slaps shut.
Then—
CAMERA OBSCURA enters.
Wears black. Thinks in wide shots.
Doesn’t speak much—lets framing do the work.
He sits.
Opens a leather-bound script labeled “INT. HEART – NIGHT.”
CAMERA OBSCURA (V.O.)
It’s pronounced KaH-may-rah.
Not like the monster.
Not like the lens.
Just… me.
(smirks)
Blame my mother. But don’t ask her.
She’ll spell it worse.
Everyone else tells the story.
I stage it.
I live in the breath between dialogue,
the flicker before the reveal.
I don’t speak plot. I speak posture.
I don’t write lines. I write light.
The bulb flickers once.
In his eyes, it’s not a glitch.
It’s foreshadowing.
FADE TO BLACK.
